Professor of Fashion and Textile Design and Technology
Sandy is a Research Professor working at the intersections of fashion and textile practice, design for sustainability, technology, business and culture.
Anna works alongside Prof. Helen Storey coordinating the research and curriculum development that working in Za’atari has enabled. The urgency of the Climate Emergency plays in an important role in this work.
Dr. Francesco Mazzarella
Research Fellow in Fashion and Design for Social Change
Francesco’s research spans the fields of fashion activism, craftsmanship, social innovation and sustainability. He also teaches in a number of courses across LCF.

Katelyn is a designer, artist, lecturer and PhD researcher whose work centres on localism and the everyday social aspects of fashion and sustainability.
Dr. Mila Burcikova
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Mila’s research interests encompass the human dimension of fashion. Her current research focuses on emotional durability of clothing and the relationship between fashion and utopia.
Head of Strategy
Naomi oversees the development, delivery and evaluation of the CSF strategic plans and related activities across our core areas of Research, Education, Knowledge Exchange with industry, and Advocacy.
Knowledge Exchange Manager (Maternity Leave)
Sarah is the Knowledge Exchange Manager, her expertise lies in leading sustainability initiatives at Alexander McQueen and in creative roles in small businesses.
As Associate Curator, Camilla works on exhibitions, artists residencies, art and design commissions, and the ongoing AER Art for the Environment International Residency Programme.
Professor Helen Storey, MBE, RDI, FRSA
Professor of Fashion and Science
Through both Knowledge Exchange and Research, Helen works across design, science and technology in service to humanity.
Katy coordinates efficient practices and processes to underpin the Centre’s work. She also works on communicating our projects internally and externally to UAL.

Chair of Art and the Environment
A visual arts practitioner addressing key social and ecological challenges through making and collaborative working. Founder of the UAL Art for the Environment Residency Programme.

Nina is an educator who enjoys collaborating with others to develop complex sustainability ideas into creative and measurable learning in online and offline spaces.
