Aditi Mayer

Storyteller & Sustainability Activist

Aditi Mayer is a storyteller who weaves narratives of craft, culture, & climate. As a multi-hyphenate whose mediums include film, photography, journalism, and creative direction, her work has blossomed into a storytelling studio and impact agency.

Aditi’s thought leadership has led to a robust and celebrated speaking resume that spans academia to fashion weeks globally. From features in Vogue to National Geographic, Aditi is known for marrying the worlds of art, industry, and education— all with a socially conscious slant.

Following the Rana Plaza Factory Collapse in 2013, Aditi began as a labor rights activist in Downtown Los Angeles’ garment district, starting her journey harnessing the fashion industry as her medium for social and environmental justice. In 2020, Aditi was named a National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellow for her storytelling work exploring fashion through the lens of agriculture and artisans in India. Since 2020, she has also served on the Creative Advisory Council for State of Fashion, an international fashion platform and biennale where alternatives to the current fashion system are given a stage.
