May 5, 2009 by amucklowThere will be a talk tomorrow at LCF in the RHS Space at John Princes Street from 6.30. The talk tomorrow ‘Inspiration India’ will take place in the RHS space at John Princes Street from 6.30pm. I imagine it will last for around an hour.
The guest speaker is Lucy Tammam, a CSM fashion marketing alumna and big boss of Tammam. Lucy has been working with fair trade production in India and Nepal for over four years. Tammam started developing and designing innovative sustainable textiles for luxury collections using organic cotton and natural fibres such as hemp, banana and peace silk due to the lack of availability in the market. The Tammam brand works to a ethical supply chain, where fabric and production in all aspects are considered for each garment. Lucy has developed close personal links with various Indian and Nepali producers throughout the years she has been working in ethical fashion and production in Asia. Lucy now works as a consultant and fabric agent for designers to help them source and maintain ethical practice within their manufacturing and design work.
