Think Act Vote is fantastic a campaign aiming to inspire people to think about what they believe in and how they use their vote in the forthcoming election.
Political apathy and disengagement is widely reported and has become increasingly prevalent within British society over the past decade. And whilst speculation and debate about the causes of this political lethargy continues to rage, inspirational people like Think Act Vote founder, Amisha Ghadiali, are focusing upon the important issue of how to provoke a change in the behaviour of an ever-expanding wilderness of disillusioned people and inspire them to use their precious vote.
“If politics were a fashion label, you wouldn’t wear it. We want to use creativity to create a community around the choices we make for our future,” says Amisha Ghadiali. The Think Act Vote project gives people the opportunity to share the positive choices they would make if they did get the chance.
In partnership with ethical fashion label Komodo, Think Act Vote launches with a search for their carbon neutral Think Act Vote t-shirt from up and coming designers, artists and illustrators. The only proviso is that the design must include the words “Think Act Vote”. Submissions can be uploaded to the Think Act Vote website before the deadline of 12 noon on Sunday 7th March.
An online public vote will determine a shortlist of 10 designs. The winner will be decided by the Think Act Vote judging panel, made up of some of the best-known faces in ethical fashion and design, including ethical hero Katharine Hamnett, celebrated illustrator Daisy de Villeneuve and the original ‘anti-preneur’, Cyndi Rhoades.
The winning design will be announced at a launch party in April. The t-shirt will be produced by Komodo and will be available to purchase online and in selected shops across the UK. Runners-up will feature in a beautifully produced lifestyle book alongside a creative anthology of people’s responses to one simple question, designed to get people thinking about the positive choices we can make for our future: “what’s the future you would choose”.
About Think Act Vote
Think Act Vote was started by a group of friends whose backgrounds are in ethical fashion, politics and design. What brought them together was a shared frustration about the negative view of politics held by so many people in the UK today and an ambition to do something about it – creating a community around the choices we make for our future.

Komodo is certified by Made-By (http://www.made-by.nl/). Made-By is an independent consumer label for fashion companies who continuously improve and are transparent about the social, economic and ecological conditions throughout the whole supply chain of their collections. The mission of Made-By is to make sustainable fashion common practice.
About the Think Act Vote Creative Anthology
Think Act Vote wants to inspire people to think about what’s good in change and not what’s bad about politics. To do this, the team is asking people from across the UK to answer one simple question, “what’s the future you would choose?”
To help people answer what’s undeniably a pretty huge question, the team has created a simple formula for submissions:
Start with a change that’s needed. How would you make it better? Why would it lead to a better future?
Answers can be submitted online to the Think Act Vote website and the most powerful submission will be compiled into a creative anthology that will also include the shortlisted t-shirt designs and photography that captures the spirit and experience of the project. This ‘prime ministers handbook’ will be delivered to the resident of number 10 the day after the election result is in, and will also be available to purchase.
