QC Volunteer
People Tree, the rapidly growing pioneer of Fair Trade Fashion, is seeking QC (Quality Control) volunteers .This would be great experience for a fashion design graduate or someone who is interested in garment construction.

We work with 50 fair trade groups in 7 developing countries to produce a stylish collection that respects people and planet. We give design and technical assistance to help marginalized artisans and crafts people overcome the barriers of selling their products. We pay our producers a fair price, offer advance payment when needed and commit to a long term partnership.

People Tree is looking for QC, Team members, to check the quality control of their SS10 Collection. You will be assisting the QC team in Measuring Production garments. You will also be checking that the garments are of the highest standard for the new season. Checking Buttons, zips finishing’s, Seams etc. You will be working on your feet for most of the day, if you have back problems this role will not suit you .You will need to have the following quality’s-
- Good organisational skills.
- Be a good team player.
- Good time keeper.
- Attention to detail.
Your Responsibilities will be as follows;
- Measuring garments.
- Noting measurements.
- Checking that the quality of the garments comply with the company’s high standards.
- Reporting any issues that may arise with your QC Manager.
- Experience with measuring garments, an understanding of garment construction is a bonus.
We will need you to help with QC through January, February and March 2010.
Please take into consideration that the warehouse is on the outskirts on London in Brimsdown, You can get a train from Liverpool Street (approx 20 mins) or Tottenham Hale (approx 10mins)
You will be given £30.00 in People tree gift vouchers for each day that you work.
Travel expenses under £12 will be given back to you.
Please bring a packed lunch and wear sensible clothing as you will be on your feet all day.
