Sustainable Fashion Project
Looking for a unique, meaningful project in which to showcase your creativity? Passionate about fashion, sustainability and recycling, and want to make a positive contribution to helping minimise poverty?
We are a homeless drop in project for MIND and are looking for a student to design their own original line of fashion from recycled clothes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your creative skills, gain experience and do something for a very worthwhile cause, and get your name out there in the process!
The project will take approximately six weeks. We want a line of clothing designed and made from old, donated clothes and hope the finished products can be sold in our charity shop.
The items designed and created need to be a highly unique, one of a kind items – an original work of art in attire form!
You will need:
your own sewing machine and equipment to create your garments,
fashion design and tailoring skills,
a creative mind together with an eye for the elegant and chic,
the ability to see the potential in a bag of old clothes to be recycled into avant-garde fashion,
zeal and enthusiasm to complete the project.
